I spent almost 6 months here and now this is correct time to comment upon the system of IIT's. I have enjoyed the facilities here @ IIT, finest facilities that's why these are premier institutions of India but at the same time i found that why student's suicide rate is very high particularly in IIT's though very controversial but yes it's true and we have to accept the truth.
When students miss the deadline of the project submission they think they are going to miss the deadline of their life and 3 idiots story repeats again and again.....
According to me the methodology IIT's are following is aggressive kind of methodology, That's why the title of this article is "Aggressive Methodology by IIT's". Some times students get benefit from it but at the same time some students feel lot of pressure on them these institutions are creating tremendous pressure on the students and by using this methodology two things can happen.
either you become diamond after surviving this pressure or you become the mediocre.
IIT's are famous for completing various projects, professors of IIT's are like cream of milk. They do several experiments and they measure the immeasurable, can't they measure the pressure they are creating on the students.
This is very simple, can't these professors develop the way to measure the pressure on the students, can't you give the theories????. IIT's take timely feedback from the students that how professor is teaching in the class, what is your expectation about the subject so and so.
Why don't they ask this simple question in feedback..............
How much pressure you are feeling?
Whether you are able to bear the pressure?
Is your professor torturing you?
Why don't they ask these simple questions straight forward to the students. Can't they give the theory on the pressure that they are creating by there several acts................. (Which is the basis of the suicides among the students.)
The term paper topics suggested by me to these professors, so that they can publish lots of papers in this area are:-
1. Evaluation of Pressure by the teachers on the students
2. In which fashion suicide rates are varying with the pressure.
3. Analyze various parameters which are affecting the pressure on students.
4. Improving the pressure vs.suicide rate curve.
5. ............................................
and there are many more youth can suggest, thousands of phd degrees can be awarded in this field. Thousands of papers you can publish in this field and rigorous experimentation is needed in this field.................................................
