"Revolution 2020" - Do you believe ?

Liked chetan Bhagat his novel revolution 2020. I have no doubt that chetan bhagat has guts to attract and publicize his stuff. In effect i could not resist my self to finish it as early as possible. Good amount of suspense and obviously if there is chetan bhagat then there would be a love story too ha ha :). Pointed out the corruption done by the political leaders but at the same time that honest persons and poor are helpless.
The question raises that do you believe on Revolution 2020, whether there are persons like Raghav and Gopal in india. I was comparing Raghav with Anna Hazaare there is some similarity between them but still the difference is age, a generation gap is there in there age whether the youth think same like him don't know by the way i don't think like this truely speaking.....

Is there any message from the novel if yes then what?

And what Gopal did at the last i don't think anyone of us will do like this (exceptions are everywhere) and at the last who is the Hero the same question i was asking to myself when i was reading "3 mistakes of my life" and i figured out very strange and here in this it was difficult to figure out that who is the hero?
When  i was reading the novel i was placing myself on the place of Raghav but when the end came and when raghav ditched aarti i was saying myself  "nahi yaar mein raghav nahi ho sakta" ha ha .. :)
Last but not least about aarti was thinking that whether there is any aarti in my life or not? ha ha ha :) :) ...

         hey how much you remember?

the school's name where aarti and gopals's friendship started?
Full name of aarti ?
aarti's father's name?
which coaching institute gopal joined ?
in which locality gopal stayed in kota ?
 gopal's tayaji name?
state university vc name?
and many more......

But at the last we forgot about the revolution 2020.
 bye bye ...........

Launch of "AAKASH"

5 OCT., 2011 DELHI

It was 5 Oct.,2011 day when "AAKASH" launched officially by Kapil Sibal HRD minister. I was one of the witness @ Delhi Vigyan bhawan.

Preparations started so many days before the launch and from IIT Rajasthan they arranged 4 AC buses from jodhpur to delhi for us to attend the function and those who want to go by train IIT was bearing expenses upto III AC.  Feeling was awesome as we received official cards issued by HRD ministry.

Journey was fantastic and we enjoyed lot during the journey. Faculty members were also with us and they were also enjoying. Some were smoking they were in casuals not in formals. They have done very good arrangements for our dinner. But journey was tiresome because we were going by bus.

In morning we reached Vigyan Bhawan and i was watching it like wow. There was huge media it was first time i was watching huge media personalities lively in front of my eyes some were arranging their cameras, some were talking on their phone, some were busy in preparing their notes, some were taking interview of guys like us and some were busy in preparing their copy and pen to write something. So this was the scene there about media personalities and with them there were huge number of students from all over india were representing their respective colleges.
Scene was like perfect filmy scene a big auditorium, so many reporters and journalists standing with their cameras and waiting for a minister to come for  a press conference, waiting to click for a historical moment.
Ya the special thing was that we were having a special designation in front of our seats as "Device Trainer" because we tested this device and we know how to operate it hence if any student face some difficulty then they can ask us for help.
At the last Kapil Sibal came with 2 more dignitaries and our director too. They took their seats and now kapil sibal launched the "AAKASH" with so many flashes of camera and flashes lightened the whole auditorium. Data wind founder some Mr. Tuli also gave his opinion and about manufacturing of this device. Devices were distributed among several students who came from several colleges and diversified background. After the end of the speech media personalities attacked on Kapil sibal and fired their questions on him. It was the time of interview and Mr. Tuli was running and media was running behind him.

So it was awesome to be part of it and we were like spectators there and were only for clapping and cheering and making the environment crowdy that' s all but still we discovered some enjoyment in it and helped and interacted with the guys who asked us about this project and vision behind it ...

Awesome  enjoyed ..

"AAKASH Inside Story "

"AAKASH" made enough news in media and so called worlds cheapest tablet pc made by indians.Rumors are that it is totally made by indians. Actually this is not true. Telling you when this idea conceived. First MHRD ministry took the initiative to make a cheapest pc that can be distributed among the poor kids and in rural areas. Then all directors of  IIT'S and prestigious administrative officers in HRD started to meet to make strategy on this project.

IIT Rajasthan Director Prof. P.K.Kalra proposed a master plan and now the first part of the project started @ IIT Rajasthan.

 the interesting part is ...........
IIT Rajasthan published tender in newspaper and invited several companies to bid on the project several companies came to IIT Rajasthan including intel. Now the challenge was to bid lowest for the project. Intel declined and they said that they can not make a tablet in 1500 Rs. and now a US based company Data Wind accepted and they agreed to make a tablet in 1500 Rs. (includes government subsidy).

Data wind it is US based company but the owner of this company is NRI Sardar and company has it's branches in india too with manufacturing plant in Hyderabaad. This company accepted the deal and now the beginning of this project started.

Facts are iit's are not involved in the manufacturing of the AAKASH it is totally made by this company the second even the chips and technology used in this tablet not unique and not even suggested by IIT's.

Still I am happy because the first consignment of all the "AAKASH tablets" appeared in IIT Rajasthan for testing and we are fortunate that we got "AAKASH" even before the launch of it. We as a whole tested these tablets and we are provided with the full checklist (those things) we would have to check in AAKASH. It was really fantastic that world was dreaming to have it in their hand and it was in our hand.

At the last i want to say it is initial step and there are so many shortcomings in the tablet but please accept it because it is a initial phase and everything takes time with time it would get improved. Various improvement are going on in this project and soon we will see better version of this tablet  in market. Improvements are going on and IIT Rajasthan is setting up very advanced lab on the processors that is used in this tablet (ARM processor lab) and soon the technical work will start here on "AAKASH". Definitely we will make it better we need support from all over india and that's all about the AAKASH.

"Luckily I became an Engineer "

After a long time i am writing on this blog, i can not give any reason except time okay leave that.....

Last night several thoughts were coming in my mind when i was reading my books, searching sem course contents and books on internet but i was not able to concentrate. Several thoughts and pictures were coming in my mind "my undergraduate college pics, pics of my friends, teachers, juniors, place where i stayed during "  and those scenes were like in front of my eyes. How i enjoyed and how i wasted my time, teachers during my B.Tech and then about my studies .....
And a punch line was punching me continuously that was " Luckily  I became an Engineer "  I don't know whatever is the reason but i am not sound with my conceptual knowledge and I think most of my engineer friends are also not (don't take it in another manner if you are not like me).

It was my first year of B.Tech time time was running like speed of light. Everything was happening too fast that i think i have no control.
I always waited for vacations at that time i was homesick. It was like four years i have to stay here so i was relaxed and time was passing.
Now i passed my first year and this time tension was to search rooms because our university was not providing us hostels in second year so it was struggle but because of my friends we easily faced this period  and enjoyed kind of work, in effect except our studies- cooking, managing, maintaining raashan, managing accounts of kitchen expenses, skills developed in us.
The difficult part was to catch private bus for reaching college on time, it was the most difficult part and the other was during cooking finish of LPG we run here and there for purchasing cylinders in black. In this manner we were driving our home and study was the secondary part for us but we enjoyed that part too perhaps if my colleagues and  persons who know me read this then he would be 100% agree with me.

Finally somehow i managed myself there, so many ups and downs and now i was in fourth year of my B.Tech having great skills in cooking, expense management but nil in my concepts and this time we have to again search (in second year we searched rooms) and now this time we have to search jobs for us. Actually this part come in everyone's life whether he is an IIT'ian or any other graduate, you have to grab opportunity of jobs and we were not different the difference was we were searching from our first year and others have to search only in their fourth year :) .
This year i got new talent in me and that was to go in self invited marriages probably you understood or let me explore, going in marriages without invitations, i think that it is also a kind of talent because you have to show yourself confident, fearless, show yourself like a close relative of bride or bridegroom ha ha ha :) :) . Same time month of November but one year back from now, i did all these mischiefs .
The place where we usually went was "Gautam Farm" a very big farm house which was very near to our room. "Gautam Farm I miss you" This was like addiction and this time we were again in search. In search of marriage halls those were nearly situated to our room and within our reach.

This is how my fourth year passed and rest you all know, in the month of january and february there on my another article "Masti and Fight before M.Tech" on this blog.

 Briefly
That is how my first, second third and fourth year passed in search. The journey started in search of good friends and then In search of good room, in search of cylinders, in search of maid, in search of bus, in search of marriage halls, in search of good restaurants and dhabas, in search of tourist places, in search of girl friends (hey don't say to my parents but my parents were happy because i was not in coed college) and finally in search of job the thing that i missed was search of concepts, knowledge that really required to built our strong foundation but what i can't reverse is time and perhaps this was the destiny and i enjoyed it. Journey of searching still continuing but that is why today i feel that
                                 "LUCKILY I BECAME AN ENGINEER".

My trip towards High Performance Computing

Don't mind if their is any spelling and grammar mistake because i am writing abruptly without revising and taking it carefully.

As in my M.Tech one of my subject is High performance and computing and when there was time for selecting one of the elective that time i was not much interested in this particular subject i was thinking that it is a bit difficult subject so  i will go for DBMS but our academic coordinator was saying that you have already studied this subject in your b.tech so don't choose it. Finally i choose HPC. I was hoping that it will be very difficult for me. One of the very good personality from CRL (Tata sons lab) Dr. Shrirang Karandikar is conducting lectures through video conference thrice in a week. First i was facing problems in understanding him but he is great and his style is unique so that is about my teacher and my subject.

As Mid semesters came i was frightened about this subject but as I have gone through the slides of Dr. Shrirang I was too attracted towards this subject now feeling a kind of attraction towards this subject there is alot of motivation regarding this subject. You can check out his home page http://shrirang.karandikar.org/.

Motivation for High performance computing is "THE FREE LUNCH IS OVER" by Herb Sutter. a great article guys you should read it really interesting.
Guys it's really interesting check fastest supercomputer of the world made by "JAPAN's K COMPUTER" just search official website of the K computer it's really too motivating and just check out video of japan's scientists regarding development of K computer it's really really really very motivating. This is beginning and some motivation.

i think some of my friends feeling too bored so lets leave this and further we will talk it about more

b bye...

Masti and Fight Before M.tech

Everyone dreams to get admission in the prestigious colleges like iit's in india. Some years back I prepared for JEE but was not able to get selection. That was very depressing time for me (just leave it ) okay so i thought that i will prepare tough and will do my m.tech from iit's. This was a kind of desire everyone wants to study in the best institutions. But as i entered in B.Tech masti and musements with friends nightouts and all that made me distracting from my goal and time was passing very fastly just completed 1, 2 , 3 and now  i was in the 4 year pressure of placement and GATE both was on me. I just somehow got placement in a company which recruits like they have to prepare some battalion for fighting with their rivals i think you all understood yes TCS. It was some relieving because if i am not able to get selection in GATE then still i have a choice.

Now time for gate that time i was not able to prepare alot but i gave my paper confidently and luckily paper was favourable to me  i was able to manage attempting 65 marks questions approx and hoping 53 approx.just leave that that is boring for you all.
Finally result out got 50.63 not exactly according to my expectations but hoping call from iit's but only iit g for phd and iit rajasthan with iisc too ( called but i was not able to attend interview). I spent alot of my fathers money on forms and still managed to get call from very few best institutions.

Okay so that's all for this post. I will compare some good institutions as students got very very confused that which one they should join so probably i will share my search about that compare
Old NIT'S vs. New IIT''s and
How much you should get to get call from IIT's and IISC.

Step Towards Writing Research Papers

This blog will also cover some thoughts about the highly influential topics in computer science and engineering and the blog will cover the experiences and experiments and put down here for the review of  you, after the review and suggestions from you.We will try to improve it.
I think probably it is good so that any one can review and express his or her views and comments about the topic.
In fact all you know that Indian universities are loosing their ranks in terms of quality research.
How many Nobel laureates produced by Indian universities?
How many patents Indian universities have?
How many quality research papers are published by Indians?

think about the aforesaid questions and you will get to know the significance of the "Research".
This Task is highly responsible task and we have to think about it mutually.

Introduction

First line is dedicated to my parents who gave me alot of strength source of my motivation and inspiration.
Okay guys so this is my first post on the blog so introducing myself my name is Saurabh Heda briefly
i am computer engineer by profession i completed my B.Tech from Gurukula Kangri University mentioning it because one of the oldest universities in india and presently i am pursuing M.Tech (ICT) from IIT Rajasthan

why i am writing this blog?
I am writing this blog because
Honestly speaking when i finished my GATE-CS exam I was hoping that i am able to get 53 marks approx and according to previous statistics i will get a very good college actually hoping for IIT's as the result out i was shocked i got 1484 Rank. That was alot beyond my expectations. Still i was hoping that i will get call from IIT's atleast.(only one experience i am sharing). During that time it was very difficult for me to compare institutes and other alot of things so i just want to help those guys and girls who are facing this kind of situation.
I am writing as my hobby i always want to write about my experiences and gain experiences from the others.
I will also make links to the other blogs and articles that i seems to be useful for u all.

Aim of this blog :
It is a process of gaining mutually from this world so this blog is not just helping other guys and all that but gaining from others too it is not just about to write. Internet is spreading and i think after 2 or 3 years internet will achieve speed of light (just a imagination) before that i was writing my experiences on my diary but as this medium is appropriate now so i am writing here.

Another thing is about Quality Research I also wrote a article on siliconindia.com about quality research in india and as I am a M.Tech student so it is a fair responsibility of me to share my experiences with you all guys.

Special attraction is the courses I am presently reading High Performance Computing. Okay guys that's all i will write more about that in my another post this is just for initiation.
